About
Welcome to The Green Affair - Chiado, a vibrant vegan haven located at R. Serpa Pinto 15A, 1200-443 Lisboa, Portugal. This charming restaurant stands out for its commitment to fresh, flavorful plant-based cuisine that caters not only to vegans but also to food lovers seeking delightful culinary experiences without compromise.
As you step inside, the warm atmosphere invites you to explore a menu brimming with innovative dishes. Diners often rave about the homemade pumpkin soup, praised for its comforting flavors, and the tomato-based rice paired with a faux “fried fish” that mimics the textures found in traditional fare. This kind of creativity is what sets The Green Affair apart—transforming familiar dishes into vegan masterpieces, each crafted with passion and artistry.
Highlights from the menu include the Superfood Bowl, which has garnered a loyal following for its nutrient-rich ingredients and exceptional taste. Many guests, including those who may not adhere to a vegan lifestyle, have found themselves pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavors presented in every bite. One customer, Roy Latke, even remarked on the delightful experience, stating that the food was “full of flavor and totally surprising.”
For those looking to unwind, The Green Affair also offers an array of cocktails, wines, and beers, making it a perfect spot for both casual lunches and intimate dinners. With feedback highlighting the friendly staff and relaxed ambiance, it's clear that visitors can expect a welcoming dining experience that adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Though some patrons have noted minor aspects they wished were different—like the presence of coriander in guacamole or the texture of certain dishes—the overwhelming consensus is that the positive experiences far outweigh the critiques. As Justyna Jaszczak stated after her visit, "Food to die for" encapsulates the essence of dining at The Green Affair, where every plate is a testament to the art of vegan cooking.
In essence, The Green Affair - Chiado is more than just a restaurant; it’s a culinary journey that challenges the notion of vegan cuisine and invites everyone to partake in deliciousness, health, and sustainability. Next time you're in Lisbon and in the mood for an exceptional vegan meal, don't miss the chance to experience this gem!
“ Excellent vegan food! Lunch menu was fantastic. I had a beautiful homemade pumpkin soup for an app and a tomato based rice dish with faux “fried fish” that was basically like a tempura with green beans inside. My wife had a vegetable sesame stir fry with noodles and the garlic butter bread and Olive tapenade for her app. We had two glasses of wine and an espresso each at the end. All came to 12 euros each. Christiana was an excellent server and gave us some great suggestions for us to explore while in Lisbon as tourists. We love eating vegan food and this was an excellent choice for lunch! Highly recommend ”
“ A great vegan restaurant in Lisbon! We very much enjoyed our dinner here. Reservations are accepted, but most evenings it is not busy enough to require a reservation. You can just walk in. They have full menu and also plenty of cocktails, beer, and wine available. It is definitely a place that we would return to again for a delicious vegan meal. ”
“ We’ve been here twice. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere! Food is good, but for us not quite 5 stars. Unfortunately the guacamole is with coriander. The fries taste like from the day before. The seitan BBQ itself is a little too boring, it would be very nice more crispy. Also the tiramisu is missing something. But: please try the Superfood Bowl!!! It is amazing! ”
“ It was first restaurant we tried in Lisbon and we couldn’t find anything else better or even similar. Food to die for. When I go back there I’m definitely going to try more things. Thank you:) ”
“ Amazing vegan restaurant. I had Boneless Lagareiro, a tofu based dish inspired by a traditional Portuguese dish. It’s so tasty! The atmosphere was great too. ”
